Let’s first take a break from traditional Chelsea boots as I’ve found something totally mind-blowing. Check out the adidas Y-3 by Yohji Yamamoto Oriah Boots.
adidas Y-3 by Yohji Yamamoto Oriah Chelsea Boots
This is a Chelsea boot, believe it or not! This is actually part of the brand’s spring/summer 2012 collection, which features footwear that “combines sports and London street wear, presenting minimalistic and avant-garde designs, in honor of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games,” which will be held in London from July to August.

You think this looks familiar? Well that’s most probably because it looks a lot like skates. You know the boots used in ice skating and figure skating? Similar, yes? While the design looks very incredible, the combination of colors also looks eye-catching especially with the pop of yellow.

This boot features combined leather and textile materials to create the three stripes logo design and additional details at the upper. Since this is a Chelsea-inspired boot, there’s also elastic goring at the sides which seems to come in different color.
Yohji Yamamoto and Y-3 text logos can as well be seen at the side and at the back, respectively. Along the front shaft, which is about 7 1/2-inches, is a zipper fastening for easy on and off.

Now what really made this totally incredible and unique is the sculpted heel that measures about 4 1/2 inches. This is indeed out of this world that you’d probably find a hard time trying to walk in these shoes properly.
This shoe also has 1/2-inch of platform, lightly padded insole, and synthetic sole to complete. I guess stars like Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, and Katy Perry could wear this since they’re the ones who are used to such bold shoe designs.
Anyway, just in case you’re wondering, these adidas Y-3 by Yohji Yamamoto Oriah Boots cost $690 via Zappos.
